Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-07
This Privacy Policy explains how GEEKDEV TECHNOLOGIES, SRL ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Bolsillo mobile app and this website (together, the "Service"). We built Bolsillo to be private by design.
The short version
- Your transactions, categories, budgets, recurring items, and preferences live on your device. We don't require an account, and we don't collect or store this information on our servers.
- We may collect limited usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs — not the contents of your on-device data.
- We never sell your personal information.
1. Information stored on your device
Your transactions, categories, budgets, recurring items, and preferences are stored locally on your device (and, if you enable it, in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us. If you delete the app, this data is removed from the device.
2. Information you send us
When you contact us through the support page or by email, we receive the information you provide — typically your email address, the message you write, and any details you include (such as your device model or app version). Our support form is processed by Formspree, which delivers your message to us by email. See Formspree's privacy practices at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
3. Analytics & diagnostics
To understand how Bolsillo is used and to find and fix problems, we use PostHog, a product-analytics and event-logging service. PostHog helps us see which features people use and where the app runs into errors.
These analytics may include: app interaction events (for example, opening a screen or logging an entry), your device type, operating system and app version, a randomly generated identifier, and a general location (such as country or region) derived from your IP address. They do not include the personal contents of your on-device data, which stay on your device.
You can read about PostHog's privacy practices on its own website. If you'd prefer not to share usage analytics, contact us and we'll help.
4. Apple diagnostics
Separately, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymized analytics about app usage and crashes if you have opted in to sharing this with developers in your device settings. This data is not linked to your identity.
5. How we use information
- To respond to your support requests and feedback.
- To diagnose and fix bugs you report.
- To improve the app and understand how features are used.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service — such as our support-form provider and our analytics provider — and only as needed to provide that service. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. Data retention
On-device data is retained until you delete it or remove the app. Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to assist you and keep records of our communications, after which it is deleted.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because your transactions, categories, budgets, recurring items, and preferences stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly by editing or deleting data in the app, or by uninstalling it. For information we hold from support requests, contact us using the details below.
9. Children's privacy
Bolsillo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information we receive. Data transmitted to our support provider is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
